about

RELEASE DETAILS:

Split from UK/US ambient artists. Limited lathe-cut vinyl featuring barely-there guitar drone and subtle electronics that evaporates and fills the room.

Part One of the Fragment Series of split releases is a re-issue of a 2004 release from Evelyn Records, which closed business shortly after this 8" record was pressed meaning that hardly any of the original edition were sold.
On clear lathe-cut vinyl in hand-stamped card sleeve.

Karina ESP:
'The last Karina ESP work recorded to tape, this track marks the end of the early analogue recordings and mourns the passing of my now-deceased 4-track. For staring into nothing.' - 2004.

Froxel:
'Recorded 2003. 'Turbine Wars' started out as a track with much more beat and melody. Then we started messing around with a bunch of effects and came up with the track you now hear. We don't recommend making tracks this way, but maybe we just might since we came up with something totally unique' - Froxel, 2003.

Froxel were the coupling of a drum n' bass/jungle producer and an experimental guitarist, namely Blair Carty and Justin Guillen. This release was their debut. In the same year Froxel also released the 'Spaced In' 10" EP on Belgian label Zealrecords before the tragic death of Blair Carty curtailed the project.

This EP was released shortly after Blair's passing, and is dedicated to him.
